Maninblack Seeks Bass Player & Drummer!
May 17th, 2010: This is our priority right now, we need to fill these positions immediately. Ideally we would like someone who is at least 30 years old, has been a past member of one or more recognized Punk bands, lives in the immediate Manhattan area, has both live performance and recording experience, with the resources and time to an take active role in the functions inherent to a working band. You should be able to devote two days a week to regular rehearsals and be prepared to perform live locally at least twice a month. Audio recording and other projects are also pending. Keep in mind that Maninblack has made a name for itself by utilizing live electronics and digital effects and your performance should compliment this aspect.
Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
*An avid UK Punk music fan
*NYC area resident
*Have professional quality equipment
*Recording and live performance experience
*No other band commitments
This is a serious project. Maninblack is looking for band mates who will ultimately become a bushiness partners in our venture. We currently have a modest deal with Contra Records of Germany for an EP and full length, with the possibility of a subsequent short European tour, and we are interested in signing to a domestic label.
We absolutely refuse to employ hired musicians!
